Open House London. 2.
The second house I saw was architecturally creative and modern, but bu bu boringgg. There was no stuff inside anywhere. No food in the fridge or stuff in the closet. If I lived there I would live I the bathroom because it is super cool. I also would smell bad because the shower is so small and claustrophobic I would never shower. The second bathroom is really pretty and the art is based off some famous old man who is probably dead now.
This is a teenage girls room. I don't think we would get along because she has no posters of boy bands or Britney Spears. Or anything fun to so at sleepovers.
It's really hard to play hide and seek here because there are no places to hide. I tried.
This is a super random bathroom and SO PRETTY.

The Cliffs of Dover
Today, Danny and I took Dover
Dover is by far the most beautiful place I have seen in England. They are on the shore of the English Channel facing France. This lady told us she can see buildings on a clear day. I saw lots of pretty things. Like doors
Basically, our mission was to take as many pictures of us looking posh in nature as possible, which wasn't so hard.
Danny is terrific at getting the angles and lighting correct for the perfect photos to show off on social media.
Our second goal was to find stuff that looked evil so we could pretend to be medieval Queens. Nature served. I felt like Macbeth, which is appropriate because we just read that for class.
I bet a medieval princess ate these same berries when she was banished to the forest by an evil stepmother.Dover seriously looking straight out the the 40's.
When we made it to the top, we met the most English and best women ever. They were just like the English women from the movies who live in cottages and pick elderberry (one showed us an elderberry leaf).
As we looked out across the vast countryside and limitless waters, the imagery provoked a nostalgia for the peoples and wars of the Country's past...
JK, we posed for these then ravenously devoured our afternoon tea meal.
Clotted cream, berry jam, and a sausage roll.
All brought to us by the ladies of Mrs.Knotts at the lighthouse which everyone should visit. They told us Queen Elizabeth married her cousin. I asked why the Queen Mother had such bad teeth and they told me it's because she drank gin everyday and loved sweets.
Danny and I had way to much fun hanging out with our new friends at Mrs. Knotts. Mrs Knotts is dead but her tea shop is poppin.
We were running late for our bus, so I whipped out a free podcast and we danzzed our way down the hill. Celtic river dance, skipping, and hip hop we covered it all and made it to our bus.
Thank you to the Frank Ocean Zoom podcast and Mrs.Knotts' jam and cream for filling our muscles with energy to make us move.
P.S. No Grandma, Danny is not my boyfriend. I know you looked through all these pictures asking out loud who my new "friend" is to Popi;)
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL at Queen Mary
My school has SO MANY AMERICANS. In retaliation, I spoke with an accent all day. Also, everything is American and so expensive on campus, so I decided to leave and go find the row of shops owned by old men from Nigeria. SUCCESS. For some reason sandwiches and bread are much less expensive in London than in the states.
This cost roughly $3. I told my new friend Ali I am from New Mexico, and he said oh I love Mexico. I didn't have the energy to explain.
This is my first week of actually school, and this is basically how I felt at the end of the day.

English Breakfast
English breakfast is dynamite resulting in a flavor explosion. It makes no sense at all. Baked beans, tomato, eggs, sausage, ham, mushrooms, and of course, toast and BUTTA.
#LFW
Fashion in London is immensely different than New York style. Street and runway alike are sleek. Lots of black, with thick simple jewelry. The shows were hosted at the Sommersey House. Unlike NYFW, Londonites seem to care little for the event, making it quaint. The Sommerset House plaza area makes for runways on the concrete with everyone from designers to photographers dressed plushly for the occasion. I could only tell street versus elite fashion from character. The street fashionites looked much livelier and happy...
