One of our core classes for Fordham in London is a Shakespeare in Pop Culture class. This is exciting because this year marks Shakespeare's 450th year of birth. I stopped getting birthday parties when I turned ten, and a dead dude gets a festival every year. I hope this blog is good enough to turn into something like that.
Our first read is Macbeth. Upon reading "21 Things White Girls Do in the Fall," I felt inspired to go on a journey to discover "21 Things White Girls Do When They Read Shakespeare in London."
I soon discovered this consists of ordering a cappuccino and almond croissant whilst sitting outside. The owner of the shop I went to is named Toni. He is from Portugal and grows all the vegetables in his store. He told me I can come help pick pumpkins for Halloween.
When I was sitting outside, this boxer puppy ran up and started kissing me. His owner asked if I am American because he only loves American. I am, so I think he loved me, but I felt bad for his owner
because she is Russian.
